Hi! I’m Natasha.
I’m a mother and a WORRIER. Sound familiar?
I spend half my life worrying. The other half is spent mothering and mostly involves reading books with my son, which makes us both happy.
Sadly, this leaves no time for housework, which I worry about, but not enough to pick up a mop. Although, I did read The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up recently.
I live with my husband George, our seven-year-old son Rowan, and two cats, Leo and Oscar (a fellow worrier). We’re British but live near Houston, Texas, a fact which continues to surprise me on a daily basis.
In between worrying, mothering, and not cleaning, we try to cram as much travel and culture into our lives as possible. If we can learn something, and have fun at the same time, then we’re there (with a book in our bag, of course)!
After more than 2,500 days of reading aloud to my son, I’m convinced that the solutions to many parenting problems can be found between the covers of great picture books.
I also promote my two main passions – children’s literature and children’s literacy. The first keeps me up late reading. The second keeps me awake worrying.
What keeps you awake? I’d love to hear your stories. Perhaps I can find a picture book to help your family sleep more soundly at night.

Right, it’s time to mop those floors … But wait, The Life-changing Magic of Not Giving a F*ck won’t read itself, will it?
